Feb. 21st, 2023 11:09 am21 – International Mother Language Day: What is your native language? How many languages do you speak fluently or near-fluently? How many languages besides your native language have you studied?
American-English. Just English. I took 3 semesters of French in college, but the last semester I did not get much out of because the teacher had a very strong southern accent. I have been studying French via Duolongo for 3+ years, so I can read it pretty well, but I think in order to speak it fluently, I would need to live in France and be immersed in it. I do not think that I have a brain for languages.
