Very small.
25. What's an opinion you held for a long time that you no longer hold?
There are probably too many to mention, but since 2016, it has been driven home that I do not live in the country that I always thought that I did. I thought for the most part that we had gotten past blatant racism, sexism, etc.. As it turns out, I just saw what my experience was (at the time) and that we are entrenched with systemic and personal bigotry and hatred. I always thought that if you worked hard enough that it did not matter your gender, color, sexual orientation, wealth, you could be successful. I realize now, how false that truly is and that if you are not white, male, and wealthy; the odds are almost impossible to overcome because we have rigged the game.
