I cannot really think of anything I would dub "failure." I can say that in 1993, we were living in Knoxville on the brink of buying our first house, when my husband found out that he was being transferred to Albuquerque. We were not happy and did not want to go, but for me personally, it ended up being a good thing. I had been stagnating in a series of jobs over the years, becoming bored and moving on. The last job (and the CFO at that company) finally motivated me enough to get over my fears and go to college. It was one of the best decisions of my life. Getting my degree in engineering filled a hole in my life that I had not realized was there.
