20. Was learning a new language part of your education when you were at school? Can you still remember any of it?

I wish. No it was not and things (IMO) would have been easier if I could have learned a second language as a child. I have taken some French at a local college and have been doing Duolingo for many years. I can read it pretty well, but still struggle with hearing it and definitely speaking it.

21. It’s National California Strawberry Day. What is your favourite way to eat strawberries?

Savory wise; a strawberry-spinach salad with black pepper and balsamic vinegar. Sweet wise; homemade strawberry ice cream.

That salad sounds very interesting.

I am pretty sure it is an older Jamie Oliver recipe. You slice the strawberries and put them on a plate. Then drizzle some olive oil, balsamic, salt and a good bit of black pepper on them. Let them sit a bit to macerate and use some of what drains off to make a vinaigrette. You also make these basil-prosciutto pinwheels that get served in the salad. It is really quite yummy.
