30 The year is half over now. What’s been the highlight of 2020 for you so far?
Finally having the kitchen renovated. I knew when we bought the house in 2004, I wanted to renovate the kitchen and the master bathroom. We did the bathroom in 2007 (because of a shower leak,) but due to being away on temporary work assignments for 6.5 years, plus other projects that ended up taking precedent, we were not able to do the kitchen until this early spring.
It took me ten years of iterations to finally come up with a plan and then almost 9 months of meeting with a contractor/ cabinet person to come up with the final design. The contractor started February 17th and it was done April 8th (luckily in our area, COVID community spread was very low, plus I maintained distance from the workers and wiped down everything, everyday.) It is exactly how I envisioned and I am so happy every time I walk in.
