29. Do you like porridge/oatmeal for breakfast? If you do, do you add extra things to it?

I like it sometimes in the winter. I make it from steel cut oat groats and prefer it savory with butter and nuts or olive oil and a smidge of Parmigiana.

I love oatmeal! I thought that might be a reasonable carb level to try for my gestational diabetes that's also healthy and can have healthy things added to it for flavor, but it turns out, it makes my blood sugar spike something awful compared to some of the other breakfast things I've tried. Generally though, it's a great and filling option for breakfast. I like how sated it keeps me.
