About 1.5 miles away there is an hospital for not too serious emergencies and the major one is 2 miles away. Unfortunately, both are owned by one company who has bought up all of the surrounding hospitals, so people from as far as 40 miles have to come to the main hospital here for treatment. The emergency room is a nightmare!
