27. Have you ever had major building work in your home?

Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Roof replaced, siding replaced, stone added, front porch rebuilt and replaced, back patio, rebuilt and replaced, front door replaced, master bathroom gutted and renovated, master bedroom closet gutted and renovated, kitchen gutted and renovated, sunroom floor replaced, doors and windows reconfigured and replaced, new shelves built, 2nd floor bathroom gutted and renovated, and lastly, basement are dug out, rooms built, HVAC, water heater replaced and relocated.

In the 20 years that we have owned this house, we have mostly "built" a new one.

Wow - that’s a lot of renovations!

We knew when we bought the house that we wanted to redo the master bath and the kitchen. We picked the house partly because those rooms were a good size and we could make them the way we wanted. The roof and the siding were must do's because of damage. The rest, just sort of happened...we would do something and then say, well since we are doing this, maybe we should do that...The previous owners would not recognize the house now.
