It is sunny today, plus hot and humid (heat index close to 100 today, which is odd for this area, even in July.)

Today is Independence Day in the US. After this week's supreme court decision, it seems ironic that people are celebrating something that is in grave danger of ending...the great American experiment. It has been a fairly shitty year in a lot of ways and I fear that it may get worse.

We are all watching from over here and hoping for the best in November for everyone!

I was feeling pretty positive about a Biden win in November and possibly a Dem sweep of our two houses (women are pretty pissed about their rights being systematically taken away,) but after the debate (the press have just gone crazy over Biden's not great showing and not spoken at all about Trump's lies and incoherent rants,) and then the SCOTUS ruling; I have been feeling down. Most of the pundits I trust feel like we are still strong and the signs point to Dems winning, but the dis-information is running rampant. What should be an easy decision, the press and some people are acting like is not. I feel as if everyone has gone crazy and there are only a few sane people left...

Maybe for my own mental health, I need to stay away from main stream media until after November...
