3. Have you ever had a hearing test?

Yes, quite a few over the last 10 years. I have moderate hearing loss in both ears, so started wearing hearing aids in 2016. I thank K for making me go to the doctor back in 2016, because the aids have made a profound difference in my life. I would encourage anyone with hearing loss (no matter how young) to get fitted with hearing aids. They are not perfect, but they will help to keep you from withdrawing, due to not being able to effectively communicate with others.

They do say that hearing loss can have a very severe impact on brain function, don't they? It's really important to get your ears checked. I will be booking a test soon, although my ears are pretty good, my left one is not as acute as the right...

Yes, my mother in law suffered from Alzheimers and also had hearing loss. She never wore her hearing aids and I think that contributed to the rapid decline she had.
