10 – Shift10 Day: SHIFT10 Day was created to encourage shoppers to shift 10% of their spending into their local economies to support local businesses, farmers' markets, and other alternatives to big box stores. Do you try to shop locally as much as possible or do the ease and convenience of big box stores and online juggernauts like Amazon win out more often than not?

Yes, I do. Most of all my meat, milk, and produce comes from local sources. It is more difficult with paper products, etc. I do buy a decent amount on Amazon, but that is because there is no local alternative.

It's so hard isn't it? I try to buy locally, but sometimes the prices are so much higher than Amazon *sighs*

The only things I can shop local for are food related, maybe some clothes, but everything else is mass market, so I might as well save myself the dollars and the time and just order from Amazon.
