18 – Read an Ebook Day: Are you partial to ebooks? What are some advantages of ebooks over other formats? What sort of ereader do you use -- kindle, kobo, tablet, other? Are there some types of books that really don't work as ebooks?

I prefer real books to ebooks, but I read both, It just depends on what is first available at the library. I use an iPad with either the Kindle app or the library's app called Libby. I have some ebooks, but much prefer hard copy cookbooks.

I have an app on my iPad for recipes which is very clever and converts the recipe from a photo or from a website into a useable format. I like it because it saves me having to work out the quantities for 2 instead of 4 or 6. And of course there’s the ability to search for ingredients which saves a lot of time. I still have RL cookbooks but I like having the two together for recipes from magazines etc. It’s called CookBook (not surprisingly).

Thanks! I use quite a few online recipes, but they are formatted for the computer, so are easier to read, with e-cookbooks, it seems like they do not take the time to format them correctly, so I have to go back and forth between ingredients and instructions...
