Jun. 11th, 2018 12:57 pm1) Where did you go, and what did you do, on your last vacation trip?
I am posting this late because we just got back from a long weekend in Chicago to celebrate our anniversary. We mostly walked (20 miles in 2 days,) went to the Skybox, The Institute of Art and ate a lot of good food.
2) How often do you take trips for pleasure?
It really depends from year to year, but usually try and take a long weekend at least every season.
3) How much vacation time do you take each year?
Again, it kind of varies year to year...last year we went to Europe twice and did some long weekends in the US, so probably 6 weeks or so. This year, it will not be as much due to my husbands work load and the fact that we are doing and having some things done to our house.
4) Are you satisfied/happy with the amount of time off you can take?
Mostly. I love visiting new places, but there is also a bit of stress with the planning and sometimes with the trips themselves.
5) What would be your ideal or dream vacation if money and time were no object?
I would love to go to Egypt, Jordon, and Turkey (those are mostly security concerns.) India, China, Australia, and New Zealand would also be wonderful if we had 3 weeks to a month that we could go at one time.

Date: 2018-06-12 08:00 pm (UTC)Right with you on Egypt and Jordan. I'd like to see southern Turkey on a boat trip, which is totally fine for security but not for seasickness. It just sounds so idyllic, sigh. I do want to go to Istanbul, when I can face the flight.
