6 – Drive-In Movie Day: Drive-in movies have seen a bit of a renaissance recently -- largely thanks to the Covid pandemic. Have you ever been to a drive-in movie, or any other type of open air movie viewing event?

I did go to a few drive-ins when I was a small child. I don't remember much about them, other than it seemed long to a kid. We still have a drive-in that made a resurgence during the height of COVID. It is about 10 miles away. Mostly, I prefer watching movies at home.

We used to go to the drive-in in the late 60's and early 70's and I always thought it was wild they'd often open with a G rated movie for the kids and have an R or X rated movie for the adults. Once we saw Darby O'Gill and the Little People paired with Midnight Cowboy. My brother and I tried to stay awake for Midnight Cowboy but we both fell asleep just like parents thought we would.

That is funny. I wonder if it was like there where I was? The only movie I remember anything about was "The Apple Dumpling Gang."
