6 – Take Down the Christmas Tree Day: If you celebrate Christmas, when do you put up your tree and when do you take it down?

This year was a bit of an anomaly. Normally, we put up the tree the second weekend in December and take it down the first weekend in January, unless (live tree) it has really started to dry out.

7 – I'm Not Going to Take it Anymore Day: What gets you to the point of saying you're not going to take it anymore?

With people, two strikes and you are out. I do not allow people a great deal of leeway before I am done with them. I will not be someone's second choice or punching bag.

When we had a live tree we had a stand that allowed you to water it. It did help with stopping it drying out and I was amazed how much water they drank! Now we have an artificial tree which is much easier.

Our stand does that as well, but even with a fresh cut on the trunk, they sometimes stop taking up water pretty early in.
