Quite conscious, both pets and wild animals. Look at the video of the mother ape being reunited with her baby, your pets know when it is time for you to get home, to go to bed, to feed them, etc. They also know when you need comfort.
16. Did you discover a new (to you) favourite author or musician/band this year?
I tried a few new authors this year: ones that I liked and will read more by are: N.K. Jemisin, Erika Robuck, and Thomas Perry.
