December 4 & 5, 2022
Dec. 5th, 2022 08:42 am4. Do you donate food (or money) to food banks?
I tend to donate more money, but also some food, when that option is available.
5. Does your mental image of yourself correspond with what you see in the mirror?
It depends on the day...
It was a busy few days. Friday, a doctors' appointment that took forever, then having to go by the city office to request and pay for a new water meter for irrigation only.
Saturday, farmer's market and then packing for an overnight and heading to our second show of the year. This was "Jesus Christ Superstar" the 50th anniversary. Third time seeing the show for me; I believe the first was the 25th anniversary tour with Carl Anderson (AMAZING!!!) This one was very fast paced. 90 minutes, no intermission with top to bottom the best singers I have heard doing it. I liked it, the music was the same (maybe some slightly different arrangements,)but some things were quite different. More dancing than I remember in past shows, more updated looks (Jesus had a man bun,) they played instruments some and carried microphones, more violent, definite triangle tension between Jesus, Judas and Mary, more edgy and disturbing. I enjoyed it. It most definitely left an impact. We also had a wonderful dinner beforehand at our favorite restaurant near the theater.
Sunday was driving back home, getting K ready to leave this morning and cooking. Today, I start holiday baking, do laundry, plus my left hearing aid is having problems so need to get in to see someone about that this week. Trying not to stress and remember that I bake because I want to, not because I have to...

Date: 2022-12-05 06:25 pm (UTC)A local venue attached to the university has opened in our town and they intend on having a Broadway series, but the shows are on weekdays, so would not work for us with K still working.
We were discussing it last night and K thinks that he saw the original tour when he was a child. They had to cross a picket line to get in...
