Aug. 25th, 2026 06:51 am25. Have you ever bought any second-hand clothes, or do you prefer to buy new ones? Ever found a bargain in either category?
I prefer new clothes. The only times I have purchased second hand are for Halloween costumes and once, I went with a friend who I let treat me like a human Barbie doll and pick out an outfit head to toe. She loved vintage clothes, but at 6 feet never found things that fit her.
The biggest bargain I ever found was on a pair of Loeffler Randall tall leather boots. They had been returned in summer to a small store that just needed to find someone in my size to try on and sell to. They retailed for $950 and I got them for $150.
