lizzybuffy200817. Do you squeeze the toothpaste tube or roll it? What’s the advantage of your method?
I squeeze, because the toothpaste that we buy comes in a tub that cannot be rolled. I think the roll method is better if it come with a key.
It has been a busy week so far. Again preparing for K to be away for work next week, plus the peaches we got at the fruit stand on Friday, must have been picked before I thought, because they have required attention. I made peach ice cream on Monday, we had peaches with ricotta, capicola, and blue cheese on flatbread last night for dinner. I also (for the first time) preserved peaches using my steam oven yesterday. It was relatively easy: I was able to sterilize the jars in the oven first, then do the canning part in there as well.
Swimming coach is back from vacation, so it has been crowded this week, plus those and the lifting workouts have been kicking my butt. Taking an easier day today, since we only had swimming this morning. Finished "Better Caul Saul" last evening. I am satisfied with the ending, it fit with the pace and tenor of the show.

Date: 2022-08-19 02:22 pm (UTC)The flat bread was inspired by needing to use peaches and me feeling lazy. I just put some oil on the front and back of Trader Joe's flat bread and put them in the oven (450F) for 2 minutes each side, then spread some ricotta on, put the sliced (unpeeled) peaches on top and sprinkled with blue cheese. I put them in the oven for about 5 minutes, then put the capicola on and let them go for another 5 minutes. Easy and really tasty.
