14. Is there something dumb or ridiculous that you did that actually turned out pretty well?

I am sure there is and I am sure it involved traveling, but cannot think of what...

15. What are the best and worst things about aging?

As I have mentioned before; the whole not giving a shit what people think anymore and just saying how you feel (even though that is not a huge change from my younger years.) The worst would be the body not bouncing back like it used to (mild injuries take longer to heal and not as strong as I once was.)

16. Is there some event that changed how you view the world?

Trump becoming president made me realize how selfish, racist, misogynistic and completely delusional a great many people in this country are. That they will believe anything and do anything if it justifies their viewpoint. I have become more cynical now.

Not sure what is going on and why I keep falling behind on posting, but life is mostly going on like normal. Swimming was better yesterday because it is uber hot (93F yesterday, supposed to be 96F today.) Working out this morning, cooking, laundry; normal stuff, just feeling kind of blah.

I think as you get older you are also less surprised with things on the whole but I was shocked at the vitriol that Trump and his supporters managed to stir up. He is toxic.

I was heartbroken when Hillary Clinton was not elected president and enraged (also flabbergasted) that Trump was. He is and was a con man and colossal joke; to think that people from all walks of life voted for him was unfathomable to me.

In the 5+years since, I have come to realize the deep issues that we have as country and it has really shaken my belief in the goodness of mankind. Money and power are so important to the GOP that they will throw themselves behind a fascist buffoon and his followers are cultish. I and frightened about what is going to happen in the next couple years.

16. Trump gave everyone permission to be just as openly awful as he is. It's disgusting.

Yes he did and yes it is. I just hope the justice department gets on the ball and starts indicting him and his accomplices before the mid year elections.
