Jun. 8th, 2022 08:17 am8. Is there a product or service you love so much that you'd happily be that company's spokesperson?
Not that I can think, I like many products, but love is bit strong.
Back to the outdoor pool this morning. It was about 10 degrees warmer (67F,) plus we had little rain, so I was hoping for better water temps; no such luck, the water was still very cold and no hot water in the showers. K was not as affected, but it still wasn't good. Friday is supposed to be back in the 50's, so we will forgo that and hope for better temps next week.
I made one of my favorite dishes from "Six Seasons" last evening: Seared Shrimp with Roasted Carrots and Carrot-Top Salsa Verde. The recipe calls for squid, but it did not look good at the store, so I went with shrimp instead. It is always delicious, a bit of work, but really worth it.
Today, (if I have enough sugar and brandy,) I plan to make Spiced Brandied Cherries (we use them for Manhattans,) muesli, and a new baked pasta dish with leeks for dinner. We watched the Julia Child documentary (from CNN) over a few days and really enjoyed that. Maybe will start the Jose Andres one on Disney tonight.
