15. What or who has taught you most of the information you use regularly?

Probably Cook's Illustrated. I cook and bake on a daily basis and years of using their recipes made me a more adventurous and confident cook and baker.

It turned out to be a mostly lovely day yesterday. When I got back from the farmer's market, K was home from his bike ride. We had breakfast and then went out to do some weeding. I spent a little over an hour and then came in to clean the kitchen some and make almond butter. He stayed out for a bit until a rain shower took him into the garage to try and figure out why the automatic hose reel was not working.

We had a nice lunch and then watched some cycling and puttered around until cocktail and dinner time. I made a creamy spring onion pasta from Melissa Clark and NY Times. It was delicious, but a bit decadent. We watched some Jeopardy and sitcoms that were recorded and then the first episode of Stanley Tucci's new adventures in Italy. All in all, the kind of day I was hoping for.

I imagine today will be a bit more of the same without the cocktail.
