May. 11th, 2022 08:12 am11. When was the last time you worked incredibly hard?
Job: Mentally/emotionally - working on a space shuttle launch (1999)
Physically - as a flight attendant for a start up airline (1988)
School: Mentally/emotionally/physically - Fall semester senior year, husband and I were 2000 miles apart, I was living alone for the first time in my life, and I was carrying 21 hours (18 of which were engineering, 2 were design courses.) (1998)
Life: Physically - probably this past weekend cleaning, re-arranging the garage, going to the dump, etc.
Feeling a bit better today. Had a nice swim this morning, although it felt a bit boring; lots of steady state. I Plan to try and get a lot of cooking accomplished today. In spring, I tend to go a bit nuts with all of the fresh, new veggies and fruits, so I have an abundance of sugar snap peas, greens, radishes, ramps, and rhubarb.
I have just started messaging (initiated by her,) now emailing with an old friend that I lost touch with. It is kind of nice and I am hoping to renew our friendship and that we have both matured a bit from the last time we spoke many years ago. The relationship had gotten a bit stale and I had no patience for her constant complaining back then. We will see how things are now. It helps that we live far apart.
