12. How do you think traveling to a lot of different countries changes a person?

I think it depends on the person and the kind of traveling. For me, it has made a huge difference; I am 54 and female, so grateful that I was born in the US, but am in love with the art, architecture, and lifestyle of Europe. Traveling has made me a little less type A and allowed me to appreciate art and life just a little bit more.

Also, you cannot help but notice that while we have some small differences, humans are fundamentally the same and want the same things for themselves and their families. I do think to notice this, you have to be willing to experience other cultures, not insulate yourself by spending your trips eating food you you eat everyday and being with the same people; you have to open your mind and your heart.

Weather update: I would not have believed it, considering it was still in the mid 50's at 9PM, but now at 7AM, it is 28F and there is ~3 inches of snow on the ground...

Keep warm!

I agree that you need to experience the culture if you travel. So many British people just stick to places that clone the UK when they go to somewhere like Spain. It's sad not to see the real people of the area.
