29. If you are an only child, do you wish you had siblings? If you have siblings, do you wish you were an only child?

I was an only child until I was 8.5 years old, then my brother came along. Due to the age difference and me being an overly serious child, I have always felt more like his mother. The experience did not make me want to have children of my own. I love him, but have nothing in common with him and really dislike the life choices he has made and continues to make.

Oh. That's kind of sad, although understandable with that big an age difference.

There is too much disfunction to get into...I wish that we were closer and I have tried my best to be supportive over the years, but he continues to make decisions that are just completely irresponsible, so I find it best (for my mental health) to keep a distance.
