I cook and bake a lot and tend to constantly peruse recipes, so I have quite a few first times (sometimes only) in that. I also like to travel and see new things (when dying is not an issue,) so the last time I was able to do that was Normandy & Brittany in 2019.
9. Which holiday is your favorite to decorate for?
I really only decorate for Christmas, but do put out some fall decor and I do like that.
10. What craft project do you want to do next?
Not really much of a crafter (other than the cooking/baking.) I tried knitting and liked it, but never got to the point of it being "mindless."
Have been feeling a bit down lately. We had planned a long weekend up to a NE city, but due to the current resurgence of COVID decided to cancel (it involved a plane trip, mass transit, a hotel, and most likely indoor dining.) We are vaccinated, but I still do not want to get it and/or be part of the spreading. That combined with the wildfires all over the world is tending to make me feel helpless (a feeling I hate) and worried about the future. We do not have children, so (depending on what you believe) when we die that is it, but I had hoped to have a long, fun-filled retirement (which will not start for at least 4 more years.) I worry now that the world will be such that all of our work to save and pay off bills has been for naught and that there will be nothing left to enjoy.
