If you had asked me this 25-30 years ago, I would have said actor, but now I would say director for a number of reasons: No expiration date (because there are no rolls for a woman your age,) unless you are really, really famous; anonymity, more control in the workplace, maybe not as much money as a lead actor, but still a nice chunk.
