December 25-27, 2022
Dec. 27th, 2022 09:49 am25. Do you self-censor a lot?
I do now more than I used to, unless my mouth jumps before my brain can catch it.
26. What happens in your country regularly that people in other countries would find strange or bizarre?
I agree with Slaymesoftly on both of hers: gun addiction/gun violence and the fact that we are so tied to our cars. Even in areas with good public transportation, traffic is still murder.
27. Was there ever an event in your life that defied explanation?
The night our dog passed away. He had had a virus for a few days, but went down hill quickly that day. A trip to the vet where they did blood work, even though he had a well check up the week before, and they could not figure out what was wrong. By 9:00PM, he could hardly move and we were at wits end; we picked him up and sat in bed cuddling him and told him that we loved him and that we would be ok, if he needed to go. He took a gasping breath and died the next minute in our arms.
It has been almost 15 years since that happened, but it still makes me sad, so I will catch up on holiday talk tomorrow.
