It depends on the time of year, but usually have 3-4. In spring, summer, fall; we have the top sheet, down blanket, and the down comforter. In winter, we usually add another blanket. The extra layers are for K. In the hotter months, I am fine with the top sheet. It has to be pretty cold for me to want the comforter.
