Yes, I have had a few throughout my life; a dog when I was about 6-12 (we gave her away, because my grandmother was having eye problems and they were afraid she would trip her,) 2 cats in my late teens (before I realized that I was allergic,) and then another dog for 15 years. He was like our child and it hurt(s) a great deal when he passed.
