I own quite a few umbrellas, but rarely use them. Most times I feel it is more trouble to use it if I am just running in and out of something, so usually I will wear a slicker with a hood. We do take them on vacation and tend to use them then, because we do a lot of walking and it is miserable to get dumped on.
