Jul. 3rd, 2023 11:56 am3 – International Plastic Bag Free Day: Some localities are banning the use of plastic bags or charging a small amount for each one used. Is this an initiative where you live? Have you taken steps to reduce or eliminate the number of plastic bags that you use? Is there something for which you use plastic bags that you can't think of anything else that you could use for that purpose?
No and I imagine our area will be one of the last holdouts...I have used cloth grocery bags for over 10 years and take my own bags for our CSA pick-up and the farmer's market. We do use some ziplock plastic bags, but wash them and use them over and over. We also use a plastic garbage bag and one in our recycle collection bin, but when our one bag of trash goes out per week and the recycling goes into its pick-up bin, last week's recycle bag becomes this week's trash bag.
