Probably almost three years ago in Rouen, France. We had just picked up some croissants and treats from a boulangerie and sat down in a little gated park nearby to eat them. I have a picture from that park, holding the croissant up next to my head to compare size...
Well, K is away again. He left early yesterday morning, rather than Sunday afternoon, hoping that would be a little easier emotionally. It has mostly. It allows us both to immediately have things to keep us pre-occupied. Him, driving and then work and me, swimming, working out, and then yesterday making the base for fresh fig ice cream. Last night was still lonely, but I read some and then slept like a log.
