Nov. 26th, 2020 06:28 am26 Do you think there are benefits to feeling grateful?
Yes I do, even though sometimes (I am looking at you 2020,) it is very difficult to find something to be grateful for. 2020 has been a very difficult year for most people, but some have had it far, far worse than others. I count myself lucky that I live in a small area, so when the initial outbreak in the US happened, we had very few cases. It allowed my kitchen remodel to get finished, plus I was prepared for the hoarding before it happened. Also, my husband has worked from home for the past 3 years, so other than meetings that he would normal have to travel for, nothing much changed day to day. Yes, I miss seeing people, going out to restaurants and most especially travel, but I count myself lucky to not have experienced first hand the economic and physical toll that COVID has brought.
For those friends in the US; Happy Thanksgiving! For everyone else; hang in there.
